Aerial Wilson (4-stars, 5’8”, TRC Academy) of Brantford, ON has committed to attend the University of Memphis and play in NCAA’s American Athletic Conference.

“It was over when my papa said ‘Go get em tiger'”, said Wilson via social media, about how it was more of a family decision, than an individual one.

“Beyond words to express my gratitude and love for my current TRC family and future family at the University of Memphis.”

Wilson is an intelligent Point Guard that pick up on things very quickly. She is very efficient with all that she does, from her movement through to the way that she gets her teammates involved. She has a knack of reading opponents’ strategies both team and individuals and makes the most of what is available. On the offensive side, she is a good shooter from deep. She can also be deceptive with her first step when driving, and usually keeps her options open with how she’ll finish, or involve others.

Wilson has played on the Canadian National Cadette teams the past couple of years, including the U17 team that participated at the FIBA World Championships, this past summer in Belarus. There, she was a key contributor, logging an average of more than 21 minutes per game over the seven games in which she played for her country. Her plus/minus during those games where she ran the point, was over seven.

Prior to making her selection, Wilson had also entertained interest from NCAA schools in Conferences including Conference USA, PAC-12, BIG-12 and Ivy League.
