Class of 2017 Canadian Top-5

Class of 2017

Alyssa JeromeThere was a slight change on the top of the Senior Class for the moment with Alyssa Jerome receiving the nod at top of the table. In a virtual pick ‘em situation with Hailey Brown, the nod went to Jerome because of her versatility in being able to play a number of positions, and do so and the level she has been able to do so. Both players opted to devote themselves to the Canadian National program, representing their country at both the U17 and U18 levels at the FIBA Worlds and FIBA Americas respectively.

Shaina Pellington is peaking at just the right time. Whether you call it increased strength skill, confidence or a combination of the three, in just a short while, Pellington has made the most of each opportunity she has had to demonstrate her high level ability. While Tamara Farquhar has been showing that her arguably best in class athleticism proves that she is 100% recovered from her ACL injury and Mael Gilles has been improving on her perimeter play, the Class of 2017 has a lot to offer at the high end of the scale
