Canadian Cadette Women’s 2013 Roster Now Set

On June 13, 2013, Canada Basketball released the Canadian Cadette Women’s roster of names that will be representing Canada at the FIBA Americas U16 Championships in Cancun, Mexico.

“The athletes at our final camp showed up very prepared and that made the selection committee’s decisions very challenging,” said Cadette team Head Coach, Carly Clarke, of the Final 17 tryouts that took place in Barrie, ON the previous weekend.  She went on to say via press release that, “We believe we have a strong team to be successful at the FIBA Americas tournament. We are having a great week of preparation and are looking forward to getting on the court in Mexico.”

At the FIBA Americas, will Canada find themselves in Group B with hosts Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela whom they will play in the group play portion of the five day tournament.
