Forgues Verbals Colonials For Next Fall
Dahomee Forgues (5’9”, G, Dawson, 2019, 3-stars) from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, has verbally committed to attend Robert Morris University beginning in the Fall of 2019.
Forgues has been a steady contributor to the Blues from the Dawson College Guard position. Throughout her time there, she has leveraged her longer frame to create her opportunities, making good use of body control. She does have a relatively strong lower body, and makes use of that advantage when it comes to specific in game requirements such as establishing positing, boxing out and jumping for rebounds. Forgues has caught opponents off guard with an arsenal of fakes that allow her to get to the rim and complete at an efficient rate.
Last school season, the 5’9″ guard was a member of the Quebec championship winning Dawson Blues squad. And, now that she has returned for her final season, look for Forges to make one last push to not only repeat as a provincial champ, but to get over the hump of falling short of a CCAA National Championship, as the Montreal based school fell short to Humber in the Finals, having to settle for a Silver medal.
Robert Morris, who plays in the Northeast Conference, lost in the conference Championship Finals earlier this Spring, missing out on their third consecutive NEC Championship victory.
