Shields (‘21) Officially Signs With Spartans

Sammy Shields (5’8”, G, 2021) of Port Coquitlam, BC has officially signed to attend San Jose State University next Fall.

In joining the Spartans, who play in the NCAA’s Mountain West Conference, Shields brings with her a high percentage, long range shooting ability and can be a crafty dribbler. She can really light it up from beyond the arc and opponents will have to keep close in order to try to keep her from getting hot and really having an impact on games. Having been a member of BC United for the past number of years, she has lots of experience facing different types of competition due to the type of travel schedule they typically had, including being on the Under Armour Circuit, and should be able to adapt well when she suits up for the Silicon Valley area school.

Shields is currently a Senior at Riverside Secondary School.
