Maurane Corbin

Maurane Corbin

Maurane Corbin
Although Corbin is a towering presence at 6’4”, she possesses some skill which includes a soft shooting touch. I was pleased to see her hitting a short corner set shot with relative ease, and even going as far as to also connect on a 3-pointer or two as well. Her back to the basket game is continuing to come along, although is still some ways off where it would put it in the ‘high level’ category. So what is the next step in her evolution process? Toughness and a competitive fire. A player in her position can never have enough of these traits, and they will greatly help her success on the floor.

Delphine St Cyr-Robitaille
St Cyr is a slender built, Wing player, who first caught our attention back when she was playing with the Tornades de Longueuil. It was good to know that she has combined to add to her skills inventory by handling the ball far more than she did back then. She handled a lot of the Point Guard duty for the Lynx this weekend, although she may have been better served if she was on the receiving end of a PG’s creativity. Connecting well from long range is St Cyr’s forte as the North Toronto Huskies realized when she connected with four 3-pointers in the second half. Her speed and strength will need to be focal points in her training going forward, but she does possess enough right now to be put on the radar of any university in need of a sharp shooter.

Julie Brosseau
Brosseau is a smart player that seems to play the Guard position with ease. She displayed a very good natural instinct for the development of plays and fit right in with a very talented Momo team. Although I would like to see Brosseau’s mobility continue to improve, there is quite a lot of things to love about her game already, including the ability to get very hot behind the 3-point line. All 12 of her points in their game vs Ottawa from behind the arc with a smooth shooting stroke from a set position.
