Nada Radonjic

Nada RadonjicNada Radonjic (6’1″, F, Bill Crothers, 2015) from Toronto, ON has officially signed her Letter of Intent to attend Niagara University of the NCAA’s Division 1, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

“I’m super excited”, said Radonjic. “It’s really good to get that out of the way, along with all of that stress.”

“The Coaches made me feel really special and the distance is not too far and not too close.”

As a Purple Eagle, Radonjic will be bringing with her a strong work ethic and good size with her when she steps foot on campus in the Fall of 2015. Her game is heavily European based, which for this Forward with Serbian heritage includes being very much team oriented, cherishes passing to create ideal shooting situations and focuses a lot technical skill. Her shooting touch is very good, where she can be relied upon when she does get two hands on the ball in put-back situations and can stroke the ball quite confidently from behind the 3-point line.

It’s quite likely that diversity will be the cornerstone of her success at Niagara U, which will just be an extension of her current contributions to her Bill Crothers Colts High School team.

“I’m going to bring what I have been bringing during my school season”, proclaimed Radonjic. “Being able to play at the four-position, or the outside shooting the three, so, a lot of different things.”

Now that the high school season is complete, and the signing is now in her back pocket, she can look to finish up strong with her studies.

She will also have the added task of looking towards claiming some unfinished business on the court in the Spring.

“We have our JUEL (rep) season coming up so, I’m looking forward to that”, she went on to say. This past Spring, her Scarborough Blues finished as runner-ups in the Ontario rep league. Returning to the Blues, who will be bringing back a lot of that Silver Medal team, will mean they will be on the shortlist of front-runners to take it all this time around.

That goal and continuing her development are both on her basketball checklist between now and next Fall.

“Working really hard there on my skills and hopefully getting to the [JUEL] Finals.”
