Veronika Lavergne Verbals Albany

On September 29, 2014, Veronika Lavergne (6’4″, F, St Peter, 2015) of Ottawa, ON verbally committed to attend the University of Albany next Fall.

With the commitment, the Albany Great Danes acquire a Top-25 ranked player out of the Canadian 2015 Class, who is a long Forward that is able to run the floor well. She has soft hands around the basket, and has a very good shooter’s touch. Her long limbs make her primed for blocking shots and scooping up rebounds.

Lavergne currently attends St Peter’s and split her time earlier this year playing with the Ottawa Nationals and Team Ontario U17.

Before making her final decision to join the Great Danes of the America East Conference, she also strongly considered Boise State, Buffalo and Long Beach State.
