Canada Basketball Reveals Dec 2012 National Assessment Camp Invites

On December 14, 2012, Canada Basketball released the official list of 43 girls they have invited from coast to coast to attend their National Assessment camp.

The camp is scheduled for December 18-22 at Toronto, Ontario’s Humber College, and will serve as one of the many tryout sessions for both the U16 and U19, 2013 National summer teams.

This particular session will be to both to assess and inventory the selected players’ skills as ongoing work is being done to continue to identify other potential invitees for future camps. The camp will also include on and off-court sessions focusing on teaching these athletes how to train at a world class level, which will serve as an important bridge until the next camp.

Next summer, the U16 team will be competing in the FIBA Americas tournament (date and location yet to be determined) and the U19 squad will be competing in the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women in Lithuania on July 18 – 28.
